This 55% Wool, 45% Linen fabric is woven in Italy by Kerry Knoll mill. We have been using this fabric since day one of our tailoring journey - ten years ago.
This fabric is very versatile, and a good first trial for those not sure yet about a pure linen jacket or suit. Our clients have used this fabric for summer Wedding attire, Friday wear or just an easy blazer which will works well in smart and casual environments.
This Wool Linen Blazer is 30 hours of pure craftsmanship. It is a Half Canvas blazer, completely made in Shanghai by our tailors skilled and loving hands, which also produce men’s suits for prestigious fashion houses.
We like the construction of this blazer because the canvas is running only through the chest and lapels. This way, it feels more robust and comfortable than a fused jacket, whilst also lighter and less structured than a fully canvassed suit. The jacket will, therefore, have a structure and at the same time an elegant fluidity. The canvas fabric also gives the jacket greater durability compared to a fused construction jacket.
The Neapolitan Trim fit has high armholes, thin shoulder pads and thin sleeve-head pads which creates a very gentle roped sleeve. The Soft Comfort fit also has thin shoulder pads but it does not have sleeve-head pads. The sleeve head is made with the "spalla camicia" technique (also called "shirt sleeve"), which means the sleeve-head is natural and not roped.
This single-breasted 2 buttoned Wool Linen Blazer is unlined and has 2 straight flap pockets. It also features an 8cm peak lapel and two back side vents. The chest pocket "Barchetta" is cut with a curve similar to the shape of a boat which confers harmonious proportions.
